2 Timothy 2:4

No soldier in active service entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life, so that he may please the one who enlisted him as a soldier.

Wouldn’t our American military be useless if all they ever did is shop at the mall and work on their hobbies? Of course it would, but that’s not how our military works. Our soldiers awake every morning putting on their uniform and stepping out into the battle, they fight now and when their time of service is over they do what they want to do. The kingdom of God is no different. As a good soldier of Christ we should put on His armor every day and wage war against the enemy of our soul. When our time of service on earth is done we will bask in the glories of Heaven. May we fight the good fight of faith is my prayer.
