1 Corinthians 12:26, 27
And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. (27) Now you are Christ’s body, and individually members of it.
It’s amazing what a tiny paper cut can do to your whole body. From the time it happens, to the time it heals up, every time we touch it our whole body cringes. The pain from that tiny cut can hurt all the way to our toes. This is exactly how the body of Christ works, each member of the body feels the pain of the other members. We hurt when each other hurts and we rejoice in each other’s victories. We step in when our brother is down and lift him up and when our brother is on the mountain top we thank God for His blessings on our brother. Being a part of the body of Christ establishes us, encourages us, and protects us. May we all do our part in the body of Christ is my prayer.
