1 Corinthians 4:20

For the kingdom of God does not consist in words but in power.

Words, words, and more words, our world is filled with empty meaningless words. Words are spoken off the top of our heads without real forethought or application of wisdom. Words are cast about carelessly and uselessly wasted when they could be formed into something life changing and powerful. When the Word of God is spoken it becomes something that all other words cannot become, it becomes miraculous. The Word of God gets into the heart of the hearer and grips their heart by the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit, in turn, cultivates the seed of God’s Word until it produces fruit. The end result is a life changed by the Word of God. May we allow God’s Word to change us is my prayer.
