1 Samuel 31:1

The Philistines made war on Israel.

In the Old Testament the Philistines serve as an example of the satanic forces that we fight against today. Those satanic forces have waged war against God’s children. When Israel stood in faith they were able to win battles even when the odds were against them. When Israel would retreat they would suffer great losses. If the enemy is attacking and you feel overwhelmed, don’t look at the enemy, look to God. Let your faith soar and if all you can do is stand, then stand in God’s armor and He will bring you the victory. Don’t let fear get a grip on you and never retreat. May we stand strong in our faith in God is my prayer.
