2 Chronicles 22:9

But there was no one left in Ahaziah’s family capable of ruling the kingdom. (the Message)

At the time of Ahaziah’s death there was no one capable of taking his place as King. What a sad indictment of his leadership and family. Just like Ahaziah all of us will die some day and will leave behind our work and service to God. It is our duty to train our children, our grandchildren and anyone else who will allow us to mentor them in the ways of the Lord. There should always be someone standing at the ready to take over the reigns of leadership when the time comes. Invest yourself in someone else today and pass on the wisdom God has given you. May we raise up a mighty generation to serve God is my prayer.
