^6-8 Hezekiah rallied the people, saying, “Be strong! Take courage! Don’t be intimidated by the king of Assyria and his troops—there are more on our side than on their side. He only has a bunch of mere men; we have our God to help us and fight for us!”

Morale surged. Hezekiah’s words put steel in their spines. (the Message)

An encouraging word can make such a difference in people’s lives. It’s been said that “anyone can tear a person down but it takes a real man or woman of God to build people up”. Everyone needs to be encouraged at times, even the most successful people we know get discouraged and often point back to a point in time where someone encouraged them as the reason for their success. Speak a powerful word of encouragement to someone today, your words may be the difference maker for them.  May we allow God to use us as encouragers is my prayer.
