2 Kings 3:1-3
Now Jehoram the son of Ahab became king over Israel at Samaria in the eighteenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and reigned twelve years. (2) He did evil in the sight of the Lord, though not like his father and his mother; for he put away the sacred pillar of Baal which his father had made. (3)Nevertheless, he clung to the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which he made Israel sin; he did not depart from them.
Our relationship with God is all about being changed from the man of sin into the image of Christ. We can not hang on to our pet sins and move forward in our relationship with God. We must give God access to every part of our life if we are to move forward with Him. Just because something has always been doesn’t make it right. We must allow God to change us the way He wants to not just how we like it. May we embrace the changes God has for us is my prayer.
