2 Samuel 8:14 

He put garrisons in Edom. In all Edom he put garrisons and all the Edomites became servants to David. And the Lord helped David wherever he went.

I wonder how often we take for granted the help of the Lord? After all He has said He will always be with us, He will never leave us, nor forsake us. It stands to reason that since God is always with us He is at work on our behalf. Certainly God is opening doors that no man can shut and closing doors we shouldn’t open. He moves on our behalf many times without us recognizing His very presence. Just as the Lord helped David He is helping you today. May we always be aware of God’s presence and help and may we live humbly and thankfully before Him is my prayer.
