2 Samuel 6:16

Then it happened as the ark of the Lord came into the city of David that Michal the daughter of Saul looked out of the window and saw King David leaping and dancing before the Lord; and she despised him in her heart.

One of my mentors told me years ago to be careful who I shared my victories with because not everyone can handle other people’s success. Although Michal was given to David she obviously never sold out to God and held resentment in her heart because of the death of her father and brother. Her resentment caused her to live out her life barren and sad. It is our privilege and joy to express our praise to God for all He has done for us, just don’t expect everyone to join in with your celebration. May we express our praise to God unashamedly is my prayer.
