2 Kings 4:14
So he went down and dipped himself seven times in the Jordan, according to the word of the man of God; and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child and he was clean.
Like a lot of us when Naaman was seeking his healing he presumed that the man of God would lay his hands on him, pray some grand prayer, and pronounce him whole. Instead, when he was told to wash in the muddy river Jordan, he refused to do it. His servants had to convince him that God would heal him if he would just do what the prophet told him to do. When we pray and God gives us direction our response should be to do whatever He tells us to do, even if it’s not what we expected or hoped He would say. God knows what we need and if we obey Him we will have our answer. May we trust God and obey Him is my prayer.
