Jonah 1:2 

“Arise, go to Nineveh the great city and cry against it, for their wickedness has come up before Me.”

Time and again we are told in the Bible of how the wickedness of man comes up before God, but we just don’t seem get it. I hear people saying things like, it doesn’t matter how we live, that God’s grace is big enough to cover our sins, and that as long as I’m not hurting anyone everything is ok. There is no doubt about the sufficiency of God’s grace but living in conscious defiance of God’s law is a dangerous place to be. Instead of trying to find ways to circumvent God’s law we should be working to honor and glorify God by following the example of Christ’s holy life. Just as our sins come up before God, so will our holy living. May we please God in all we do is my prayer.
