Deuteronomy 11:16

Take heed to yourselves that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;

The best guard against being deceived is to fill ourselves up with truth. Reading and studying God’s Word cleanses our minds of false teaching and bad thoughts. This renewing of our mind builds up a natural defense against falsehoods. The battlefield of our mind is where real war takes place and if we don’t prepare ourselves for battle we will be defeated. “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. (Romans 12:2) May the truth of God’s Word guard our hearts and minds is my prayer.
