Deuteronomy 6:23

He brought us out from there in order to bring us in, to give us the land which He had sworn to our fathers.

There has been a false narrative propagated about God that I would like to address. This notion that serving God is all about what we can’t do; how serving God removes all the fun out of life and becomes some legalistic religious kind of bondage. The truth of the matter is that God brings us out of the bondage of sin and into the joys and blessings of relationship with Him. Instead of waking up bound to addictions, bad attitudes and self destructive patterns, we wake each morning to new mercies, love joy and peace, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. He takes us to green pastures, He leads us beside the still waters, and He restores our soul. Goodness and mercy follow us everywhere we go. (Psalm 23) He takes us out of the bondage of sin and into freedom. May we step into everything God has for us is my prayer.
