Ephesians 4:14, 15

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; (15) But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into Him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.

“Grow up!”, that’s a term my parents used to let me know I wasn’t acting my age. It’s expected that children will act immaturely but we don’t expect adults to act like children. That’s what Paul is saying here. We are to mature in our christian walk as the Holy Spirit leads us toward Christ. We should not be so immature as to believe everything we here. We should be wiser every day as we read and study God’s Word. We should not be susceptible to the same things we were when had just found Christ. May we mature in the Lord daily is my prayer.
