Exodus 32:18

But he said, “It is not the sound of the cry of triumph, Nor is it the sound of the cry of defeat; But the sound of singing I hear.”

The sounds that God wants to hear from His people are the shouts and songs of praise about the victories He has brought us and the mournful tears of His children crying out to their Father for help. I’m afraid that, like Israel, what God hears most of the time is the partying spirit of this generation reveling in the residual blessings of a past generation. May our Father know by the sounds He hears that we are putting Him first in everything is my prayer.
