Exodus 34:7

Who keeps lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, visiting the iniquity of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations.

Make no mistake about it, our God is rich in mercy and grace. He forgives our sins and cleanses us of our iniquities. But rest assured sin has it’s consequences. Sin is so destructive that the product of our sins is carried over to our children and grandchildren. Some of their struggles can be directly linked to our failures. With the weight of sin being so heavy it is our responsibility to guard our family from the cost of sin. We must live holy and righteous so that our family can enjoy God’s blessings without the penalty of sin. May we live holy before the Lord is my prayer.
