Ezekiel 18:20

The person who sins will die. The son will not bear the punishment for the father’s iniquity, nor will the father bear the punishment for the son’s iniquity; the righteousness of the righteous will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself.

While it is true that “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” that doesn’t mean we cater to sin. As christians we fight against our sin nature and pursue righteousness and true holiness. When this life is over we will be judged accordingly, sin will bring death and holiness will bring life. Each of us, judged for our own deeds. May we pursue righteousness and holiness is my prayer.
