Ezekiel 46:9
But when the people of the land come before the Lord at the appointed feasts, he who enters by way of the north gate to worship shall go out by way of the south gate. And he who enters by way of the south gate shall go out by way of the north gate. [a]No one shall return by way of the gate by which he entered but shall go straight out.
One of my Dad’s favorite sayings was, “you better straighten up”. That was his way of letting me know I wasn’t acting right. There is no way that you and I can come into the presence of God and not be “straightened up”. God is perfect and we are not, so when that which is imperfect comes in contact with He who is perfect, we must allow Him to straighten us up. May we always leave God’s presence more like Him is my prayer.
