Genesis 17:1

Now when Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty;
Walk before Me, and be blameless.

Every once in awhile I feel the effects of being past 50. Our society says that’s when we need to begin to think about retirement. But my way of thinking is: if you’re not 99 you haven’t even begun yet! God never talks about retirement, He just moves us to the next assignment no matter how old we are. May we stay ready to work for the Master is my prayer.
