Mark 1:4

John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. 

No matter what you may have heard, the gospel preached by John the Baptist is still the gospel today. To have forgiveness of your sins you must repent of those sins. Webster defines repentance as “turning from sin and dedicating oneself to the amendment of one’s life”. In other words, you can’t keep living your sinful life and receive the forgiveness of your sins. You must repent to be saved. May we repent of our sins is my prayer.
