Genesis 40:23
Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgot him.
We’ve all heard the stories about people leaving their children somewhere because they forgot them. It always sounds crazy but it happens because people get in a hurry or have too much on their minds. Whatever the reason, the results can be devastating for the one left behind. While people may forget each other at times, I just want to remind us this morning that God never forgets us. We are the apple of His eye, we are His chosen people and the God who never slumbers or sleeps is watching over us. The Bible says, “the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.” (2 Chron. 16:9) Not only is God looking for His people but “He will not leave us nor forsake us.” We are always in His sight! May we rest in the assurance that God will never forget us is my prayer.
