Genesis 49:28

All these are the tribes of Israel, the twelve tribes. And this is what their father said to them as he blessed them, blessing each one with his own special farewell blessing.

One of the most powerful things we can do with our words is to bless someone. At Jacob’s death his last words before he died were the blessings he spoke over his sons. He understood the importance of his sons having the blessing of there father. With all the cursing that takes place over the lives of people today it is so important that we speak blessings every chance we get. A blessing is always more powerful than a curse, and who knows, your blessing may be the very thing that turns someone’s life around. May we choose our words wisely, blessing every chance we get is my prayer.
