Hosea 9:1

Do not rejoice, O Israel, with exultation like the nations!
For you have played the harlot, forsaking your God.
You have loved harlots’ earnings on every threshing floor.

It just irritates me to no end to see a football player celebrate something he has done when his team is losing the game by a large margin. It’s no time to celebrate when your losing. That’s how I see the world today, partying and celebrating their sin while not realizing that we are already reaping the fruits of our backslidden state. Instead of celebrating our sin and disdain for God’s law we should be humbling ourselves before Him in broken contrition. It’s no time to party, it’s time to repent. May we seek God while He may be found is my prayer.
