Isaiah 34:1

Draw in close now, nations. Listen carefully, you people. Pay attention! Earth, you, too, and everything in you. World, and all that comes from you.

Have you noticed how some people just want let you get close to them? No matter how hard you try, they always pull away when your relationship begins to grow. The reasons for this vary but many times it’s because they don’t want to deal with a hidden issue and they know if someone gets close to them they will figure it out. People do the same thing with God. They don’t get close to God because they don’t want Him to deal with their issues. Having meaningful relationships with each other means that we help each other with our issues. This especially applies to our relationship with God. May we open ourselves up to the loving reproof of God is my prayer.
