Isaiah 61:11

For as the earth brings forth its sprouts, and as a garden causes the things sown in it to spring up, so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring up before all the nations.

I’ve been asked many times, “why don’t Christians curse, drink and party like everybody else?” The answer is simple, God has called His people to a level of righteousness, that when lived before the world, will bring Him glory. Holy living is not easy, it is a constant battle against the temptations of the world, the flesh, and the devil, but it is God’s standard for His people. It is what separates Christians from the world. The world sees Christ when the Church is righteous, not pious, but living the righteousness that is only found in Christ. Living holy, helping the needy, loving our neighbor, honoring our brother, speaking truth, and exalting Jesus, these are just some of the things we will be doing when we live out Jesus righteousness. May our lives exalt the King is my prayer.
