Jeremiah 41:11

But Johanan the son of Kareah and all the commanders of the forces that were with him heard of all the evil that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had done.

It’s a sad thing when the evil deeds we have done defines who we are. This is why it’s so important how we live. The world is watching every move we make and as christians they are specifically watching for us to lower our standard of holiness. Although we’re never going to be perfect, we certainly should be striving to obey God’s laws to the best of our abilities. We should not allow our lives to serve as an excuse for other people’s life of sin. May our reputation be one of holiness is my prayer.
