Jeremiah 6:10

To whom shall I speak and give warning that they may hear? Behold, their ears are closed and they cannot listen. Behold, the word of the Lord has become a reproach to them; they have no delight in it.

God is speaking but are we listening? How many times have we warned our children about oncoming danger just to watch them walk right into it. It’s as if we never said anything at all. That’s exactly how God feels when He sees the sin that abounds in our society today. He grieves over the pain and sadness brought on by our sins and He must wonder why we don’t listen to Him. Learn how to listen for God’s voice and as you begin to see the powerful results of obeying Him you will once again delight in His Word. May we open our ears to God’s Word is my prayer.
