John 3:3

Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

The kingdom of God, (the realm of God’s rulership) will never be understood or seen by the world. The kingdom of God is found in the hearts of men and women who have received Christ by faith. Although the kingdom of God is real, it is not discerned by facts alone, it is spiritually discerned through faith. Nicodemus was a ruler in the Synagogue but could not discern the kingdom of God because he had not been born again (received life through Jesus). He was blown away by the new birth concept but Jesus made it simple for him when He said, “what’s born of flesh is flesh, and what’s born of the Spirit is spirit. Simply put there must be a moment in time where our spirit comes alive in Christ, where we die to sin and begin to live in Him. When we do, our old life will pass away and all things will become new (the kingdom of God will become visible), and we will be able to discern the kingdom of God. May we all experience the new birth is my prayer.
