Judges 14:7

And he went down, and talked with the woman; and she pleased Samson well.

Not everything that pleases us is going to be good for us. Samson was supposed to be keeping to the Nazarite vow, but time and again he broke his vow because of the desires of his flesh. All of us face this same problem; a desire deep within our soul to serve God and the desires of our flesh that tend to pull us away from God. To overcome these fleshly desires we must stay close to God by reading His Word, conversing with Him in prayer, and fellowshipping with God’s people. Developing an intimate relationship with God will help us overcome the desires of our flesh. May we listen to the God’s Spirit and overcome our flesh is my prayer.
