Luke 19:8

Zaccheus stopped and said to the Lord, “Behold, Lord, half of my possessions I will give to the poor, and if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I will give back four times as much.” 

Zaccheus’s reaction to Jesus was nothing short of incredible. A man who’s life was all about money makes this profound statement about giving half of his money to the poor and paying back anyone he had defrauded four times as much as he took from them. That’s what I call new life in Christ; a total turnaround in his character, his life style, and his focus. May we all encounter Jesus in such a way is my prayer.
