But at these words he was saddened, and he went away grieving, for he was one who owned much property.

Is there anything you own that could keep you from following Jesus? Is there anything that you own that would grieve you to let go of? If so I would suggest getting rid of it today before it grips you so deeply that you can’t let it go. There is nothing in this world that is worth trading heaven for and there is no one who deserves our devotion more than Jesus. May we sell out to Christ is my prayer.
