Leviticus 10:1,2

1 Now Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took their respective firepans, and after putting fire in them, placed incense on it and offered strange fire before the Lord, which He had not commanded them. 2 And fire came out from the presence of the Lord and consumed them, and they died before the Lord.

Many people have lost their lives by being consumed with the strange things of this world. Strange hallucinatory drugs, strange women, strange places, strange religions, and strange friendships, all of which are warned against in the Bible, have destroyed many people. God has a way for us to follow and His pathway leads to blessing and life. The devil is seeking to kill, to steal, and to destroy us. (John 10:10) The way He does that is to entice us to do that which is strange. We must not allow the enemy’s temptations to take hold of us. We must keep with that which is holy and shun that which is sin. We must follow God’s Word and He will lead us into the pathway of blessing and life. May we never fall prey to the strange things of this life and may we keep that which is holy is my prayer.
