Philippians 3:13,14

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

“Christians aren’t perfect, we’re just forgiven”, remember that bumper sticker? The truth is that no one is perfect but the goal of every christian is the perfection of Jesus. So, while we may not be perfect we press on towards the goal of perfection. We don’t give in to our failures, we push past them and continue to allow the Holy Spirit to perfect us. May we press on towards Jesus is my prayer.
