Luke 5:5

Simon answered and said, “Master, we worked hard all night and caught nothing, but I will do as You say and let down the nets.” 6. When they had done this, they enclosed a great quantity of fish, and their nets began to break.

Have you ever felt like your work was in vain, like you’ve toiled all night and have nothing to show for it? Maybe the reason we feel that way is because we’re not seeing the results we want to see. Have you ever considered that maybe God has a purpose in the results we are seeing? It may be as simple as our empty nets giving Him an opportunity to do the miraculous for us. If the nets had not been empty God wouldn’t have been able to fill them. Consider your work today, if it’s not producing what you want, begin to look for what God will produce and rejoice in the miracle of His blessing. May our nets be filled as God works on our behalf is my prayer.
