Ezra 1:4

Every survivor, at whatever place he may live, let the men of that place support him with silver and gold, with goods and cattle, together with a freewill offering for the house of God which is in Jerusalem.

My wife has a famous saying she uses on a regular basis, “people do what they want to do”. It really is true, we do what we want to do and that’s exactly how God created us. God didn’t create robots, He created us with a freewill to do and to be what ever we choose. That’s why He is so excited when we choose to follow Him, serve Him, give to Him, and conform our will to His. May we freely serve our God is my prayer.
