Numbers 19:20
But the man who is unclean and does not purify himself from uncleanness, that person shall be cut off from the midst of the assembly, because he has defiled the sanctuary of the Lord; the water for impurity has not been sprinkled on him, he is unclean.
Purification from sin is a choice. Under the Old Testament there was a procedure for all kinds of uncleanness. Generally the procedure required an offering or sacrifice and some type of procedural cleansing. Under the New Testament there is only one remedy for sin and that is repentance and submission to Christ. We can either remain unclean or we can choose to allow Christ to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. There is no other way outside of Christ. The choice is ours but the way is Christ. We must be obedient to His call to righteousness and allow the Holy Spirit to reprove us. May we be made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus is my prayer.
