Numbers 21:4
Then they set out from Mount Hor by the way of the Red Sea, to go around the land of Edom; and the people became impatient because of the journey.
Impatient; oh how we hate to wait! It just seems to be a part of our human nature that we hate to wait. Whether it’s sitting in traffic, waiting on an important call, or sitting in the doctor’s office we hate to wait. We want our meals in seconds, our promotion in days, and God’s answer now! But that’s not how any of this works. The Bible declares, “they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength”. (Isaiah 40:31) Waiting on God shows God that we trust Him and that our faith is real. Waiting on God always brings about His perfect will in our lives and assures us of the best outcome in every situation. May we learn how to wait on the Lord is my prayer.
