Numbers 27:15-17

Then Moses spoke to the Lord, saying, 16. “May the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation, 17. who will go out and come in before them, and who will lead them out and bring them in, so that the congregation of the Lord will not be like sheep which have no shepherd.”

Lost sheep. That’s what we are surrounded by today, people wandering around with no shepherd. People who have no purpose in life, no understanding of their eternal destination, and no fulfillment of their destiny. This world is desperately looking for men and women who will step up and be the leaders God has called us to be. Leaders who will lead them to green pastures and beside still waters. Shepherds who will protect them in the face of danger and who will comfort them when they are hurting. Shepherds who are firm in their convictions yet compassionate in their hearts. Leaders called by God, empowered by God, and anointed by God to effect change in this world. May we step up and be the leaders God has called His Church to be is my prayer.
