Numbers 25:10, 11

God spoke to Moses: “Phinehas son of Eleazar, son of Aaron the priest, has stopped my anger against the People of Israel. Because he was as zealous for my honor as I myself am, I didn’t kill the People of Israel in my zeal.

When God’s people fall in love with Him, His ways, and His holiness, it gets His attention. Every time Israel would fall prey to their own lusts there was always a person that would not let go of God. Someone who would stand in the gap between God and His people and turn God’s wrath by making a difference with their life.  At times our life of holiness may not seem that important but when everyone else is sinning it just may be our actions that get God’s attention. May we live our lives before God without the influence of people or culture is my prayer.
