Acts 2:38

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Relationships are marked by gift giving. As soon as we develop a relationship we give gifts to one another to show how we feel about each other. Our relationship with God starts with the gift of salvation but His gift giving doesn’t stop there, He immediately offers us the gift of the Holy Ghost after salvation. The purpose of this gift is to empower, comfort, and lead us as well as to open the door to many more gifts. May we receive the gift of the Holy Ghost is my prayer.
