Proverbs 27:1

Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth.

It’s so foolish for us to think that we can predict the future. Every time we think we have it figured out things change, the circumstances we were dealing with no longer exist, and our plans are blown out of the water. Sure, it’s good to plan for our future but our plans must be flexible. We should have a vision, but our focus should be on what’s at hand. Focusing on the success of today will make the changes of tomorrow much easier to deal with. May we focus on today and trust God with tomorrow is my prayer.
