Proverbs 28:13

You can’t whitewash your sins and get by with it; you find mercy by admitting and leaving them.

This seems to be the thing that is left out of today’s message; “leaving them”. The gospel message of the New Testament is “repent and be baptized” which simply means to turn away from sin and commit to Christ. Admitting we’re sinners is important and necessary but to continue on in sin after salvation makes a mockery of everything Christ endured for our salvation. We must do more than admit our sin, we must leave our sins and follow Christ. May we leave our sins behind and make Christ our priority is my prayer.
