Exodus 20:5,6

Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; 6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

The words “I love you” are bourn out in how we treat each other, serve each other, and honor each other. Loving God should make us want to do the things that please Him and trusting Him to know what’s best for us. In return, He pours out His mercy upon us. May we love God with more than mere words is my prayer.
