Zechariah 7:4-6 (the Message)

God-of-the-Angel-Armies gave me this Message for them, for all the people and for the priests: “When you held days of fasting every fifth and seventh month all these seventy years, were you doing it for me? And when you held feasts, was that for me? Hardly. You’re interested in religion, I’m interested in people.

Religious activity can never take the place of a committed relationship with Christ. We may be able to fake it with our friends and family but we can not fake our way into Heaven. We must be committed to our pursuit of God by seeking Him daily, honoring His Word with our obedience, and following Jesus in our daily walk. Commit yourself to Christ, not religion. May we be real with God is my prayer.
