Many in the church today do not understand the principle of repentance. Most people think that repentance is a one time event that takes place at the point of praying the salvation prayer but the truth is that repentance should be a lifestyle for the believer. Think of repentance like the GPS in your car. When you get headed in the wrong direction, the GPS will tell you to take the next available u-turn. That’s repentance, to turn around and head the right direction. Repentance shouldn’t be something to fear, it should be our joy as Christians to turn away from the wrong way and to embrace the right way. If you’re off track in your christian walk, make a u-turn today and get back on track. May we live a life of repentance as we keep ourselves unspotted from the world is my prayer.
