Who Would You Die For?

Romans 5:7,8 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. (8) But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Here’s something to think about this morning; Who would you die for? Paul says a few people might die for a righteous man and some would dare to die for a good man. But here’s the big question; Are you willing to die for the worst among us? The thieves, murderers, and rapists and every other ungodly person you can think of. Well, the fact is that Christ did. He died for the worst among us and he died for sinners like me. Oh, and by the way, Christ died for you too. That’s right, the Lord of the universe left His thrown in glory, took on the form of a man, lived a perfect life and then willingly sacrificed His life on the cross so that we who receive Him might live eternally with Him in Heaven. His death on the cross was the final sacrifice for the sins of all mankind and by believing on that sacrifice we can be washed of our sins. Simply call out to Jesus today and ask Him to forgive you of your sins and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness. He will be faithful and just to forgive you of your sins, He will establish you in the family of God, and He will secure your future with Him forever. May we except Christ’s sacrifice and live in a way that brings glory to Him is my prayer.
