Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

When I was in High school my best friend talked me into going out for the track team. It didn’t take the coaches long to figure out that I was not a fast runner or very good at running long distances. So they took me to the high jump pit and began to try to teach me how to do the back flop technic. After no success there either, I was told that there was no place  on the track team for me. What a disappointment that I couldn’t be on the team with my friends. Some people may think that being a Christian is like that. That you have to be able to do certain things, or dress a certain way, or know certain people, but the truth is that “whosoevers” are welcome in the Church. That means anybody can call upon Jesus and find salvation for their soul. Whosoever includes everybody, no matter what you know, where you’ve been, or what you’ve done. Whosoever includes the rich and famous and the poor and forgotten. Whosoever levels the playing field and makes the requirements for salvation the same for everybody. Simply believe in your heart that Christ is raised from the dead and confess with your mouth the Lordship of Christ and you shall be saved. Just that simply and you can be another whosoever that’s taken their place on God’s team. May we all find ourselves in the family of God is my prayer.
