Jude 20, 21 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, (21) Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
All over America gyms are filled with people running on tread mills, climbing on stair masters, and pumping iron trying their best to stay in shape. Although the Bible does say that bodily exercise will do you good; I wonder what kind of nation we would be if we spent that time building ourselves up in the Holy Ghost instead. I’m sure that we would have much more love, joy and peace. I’m sure that we would care more about each other and I’m sure that we would be much more concerned about seeing the lost saved. The key to building ourselves up in God is this, “keep yourselves”. That’s right, “keep yourselves”. It’s not your Pastor’s job to keep you in the love of God, it’s our responsibility to keep ourselves. We must work out our own salvation with fear and trembling before God. If we will, God will build us up in His Spirit, cover us in His love, and keep us in His mercy. May we all work out our faith is my prayer.
Keeping it Real!
