Luke 15:7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

Luke 15 records the parable of the lost sheep. One day, as the shepherd counted his sheep he came up one short. There was supposed to be one hundred but there was only ninety nine accounted for. In his effort to find the one lost sheep he had to leave the ninety nine. The flock would protect each other while the shepherd searched for his lost sheep. The one was alone and vulnerable and obviously couldn’t find his way back to the flock. The shepherd searched until he found him and returned him to the flock with rejoicing. Parables were given to teach us something and the lesson here is this; you’re the one and Jesus rejoices when the one is restored to the flock.  If you’re lost just know that the great shepherd is searching for you and longs to restore you to his flock. Call out to him and he will come to you. May we be found of Jesus is my prayer.
